Ruthenia's Place is a minority woman owned business specializing in therapeutic sensory items for neurodivergent individuals, unique one-of-a-kind hand-beaded items, resin art, canvas art, and handcrafted hair accessories. Each piece is intentionally designed with you in mind. We are owned and operated by a grandmother with the help of three of her grandchildren. Ruthenia has had permanent custody of all three grandchildren since they were babies. At the age of 50, Ruthenia woke up to the realization that she wanted to leave more to her family than just the statement "she was a good person". So she opened Ruthenia's Place. Her hopes were to leave a legacy for her family proving to them that there is life after trauma. As she started Ruthenia's Place, the kids realized they had a love for art and creativity as well. And they asked if they could help. Ruthenia's vision for the kids began to fulfill itself. They are all learning that dreams become reality when you allow yourself to wake up and walk in your purpose. The children are also learning the importance of entrepreneurship and responsibility. In life we have a choice: we can sleep our lives away or wake up and do something with it. This family decided to wake up.
